Unfiltered and Fearless King Princess Commands Union Transfer with Girl Violence

November 01, 2025 – Her rock-star presence filled the room from the start. She began with “Cherry,” her sense of comfort and confidence making the packed house feel personal. Her distinct vocals and peppy guitar playing carried through the early part of the set before she turned to songs that define her bold, direct, and unapologetically queer.

She is unapologetic in her queerness and the power of her songs like “Pussy Is God,” “Hit the Back,” and “Cheap Queen.” Pussy Is God her song about the love of women drew some of the loudest cheers of the night. Cheap Queen, the title track from her 2019 debut, showed how her popularity stems from her righteousness and openness. Her show was a blistering display of enjoyment, stance, and magnetic music.

King Princess, the Brooklyn singer-songwriter, soaked up the love of her fans at Union Transfer in Philadelphia. Touring behind her latest album Girl Violence, she played to a sold-out, shoulder-to-shoulder crowd that sang every word.

Songs from Girl Violence like “Fantastic,” “Cry Cry Cry,” and “RIP KP” brought her new material to life. Each sounded sharper and more assertive live, a sign of her evolution and her comfort in the spotlight. Towards the mid-slash-end of the set, King Princess thrilled the crowd with “1950,” her debut single that became a platinum hit.

Concluding the night, she ended her performance by giving her devotees a brilliant two-song encore, finishing with the glorious and hard-hitting “Ohio.” She smashed her guitar as the final chords echoed, closing the night with pure triumph. At only twenty-six, King Princess is just at the start of her career, yet she performs like a seasoned artist.
