May 15, 2025 – Celebrating 52 years as a band, Angus Young and Brian Johnson proved why they are still one of the most beloved bands in the world. The atmosphere was electric at the sold-out Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, crammed with 67,000 fans wearing devil horns and headbanging in unison.

Few bands can fill a stadium more than five decades into their career—let alone play to an audience filled with both parents and their kids, both generations donning red devil headbands and cheering on 77-year-old frontman Brian Johnson and silver-haired guitar icon, 70-year-old Angus Young. But AC/DC did just that, performing 21 instantly recognizable, sing-along metal anthems.

The band kicked off their performance in classic style with 1978’s “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It),” and Young, clad in his trademark schoolboy outfit, took the stage to thunderous cheers. That was followed by “Back in Black,” the song that marked Johnson’s 1980 entrance into the band. His vocals were still remarkably strong, matched only by his strutting confidence.
Backed by a towering wall of amplifiers and visuals filled with fire, lightning, and speeding cars, AC/DC blasted the capacity stadium with earth-shaking sound, living up to their reputation as one of the loudest bands in the world. There were no tender moments tonight—only pure, unrelenting rock and roll.

With the night coming to an end, Angus looked like a man possessed with mischief as he delivered his signature ‘oi’s’ during “T.N.T.”
All that was left was the explosive salute of “For Those About to Rock,” perhaps one of the most dramatic set closers of any band—with its deafening cannons and fiery climax. After more than half a century, it’s clear: it’s in their bones.
