Rico Nasty Brings LETHAL Energy and Her Signature “Sugar Trap” Sound to Union Transfer

October 12, 2025 – It was a sold-out performance at the Union Transfer in Philadelphia, where Rico Nasty came through to celebrate her new album LETHAL. Chants of RICO! RICO! RICO! rang up to the rafters before she even appeared. As soon as Rico Nasty strutted onto the stage, her outfit alone let us know this would be a memorable night — a tight white tank top, even tighter red shorts, and knee-high black boots.

The crowd erupted as she launched into Who Want It, firing off verses that hit like punches, pure attitude from the jump. Butterfly Kisses flipped the mood with a teasing mix of sweet melody and sharp edge. From the second she hit the stage, she had her audience in her hands.  — the packed house dancing and jumping shoulder to shoulder, screaming every word.

She commanded the stage with her screechy, gravelly “sugar trap” style — a mix of trap bass and punk bite. Her distinctive panache and sound is “sugar trap” – it’s a hybrid. It’s more extreme than standard but more melodic than pure punk – Confused? Check out her latest album LETHAL and you’ll hear what I mean. Her music doesn’t stop with rap. It infuses punk rage with heavy bass tones. Her attitude was full force – fierce, unfiltered, and emotional – and the allure of watching her perform live is her ability to rap at lightning pace without a breath.

When Eat Me hit, the energy spiked again — fast, aggressive, and unfiltered. It was raw punk energy over a hard trap beat — attitude and volume all the way through. Rico ruled with her electric, avant-garde stage presence, keeping the crowd fully locked in. When Smack a Bitch hit, the crowd lost it. It’s the song that made her and still hits the hardest.

She closed with Teethsucker (YEA3x), a pounding, chant-heavy finisher that blurred rap and punk until there was no line left. By the end of the night, everyone was soaked in sweat, their vocal cords shot but still screaming for more.
