Jessie Andrews, the Adult Filmstar, model, jewelry designer, DJ, and jack-of-all-trades returned to Philadelphia over the weekend for a DJ set at Whisper Nightclub (presented by ‘Artisan Presents’) on Friday, May 16th.
We arrived at Whisper a little after 2am (which was technically on May 17th) to find a decent sized crowd who had no interest in ending their night at the standard 2am Pennsylvania cutoff time. Lucky for them, Whisper Nightclub remained open until 3am, and luckily for us, we were able to catch the last bit of Jessie Andrews set.
It seems today that just about everyone has hopped aboard the DJ Train. Whether it is members of alternative rock groups like ‘TEED’ going on a DJ tour, Pauly D becoming a DJ after the ‘Jersey Shore’, and most recently, Paris Hilton “playing” at Echostage in Washington D.C. (which by all accounts was a horribly embarrassing train wreck), DJing has become a lucrative career choice for all walks of life.
We doubt that most people went to Whisper that night specifically for Jessie Andrew’s DJ skills, but we were happy to see Jessie actually DJ and not just ask the crowd “how are you feeling!?” while pretending to turn and twist a bunch of nobs. It was clear that Jessie Andrews takes her DJ career just as seriously as her other careers.
