July 3, 2025 – Austin, Texas blues master Gary Clark Jr. hit the stage at the Parx Casino in Bensalem, PA for a sold-out performance.
The show started with the stage covered in smoke and low amber lighting. Clark Jr. and company opened the night with Robert Petway’s story of hardship and longing, “Catfish Blues,” followed by the first track of JPEG RAW, “Maktub,” which means “it is written.”

“Ain’t Messin’ ‘Round” kicked the energy up and had the crowd off their feet with hands in the air. The sound was clean and pumping. Known for his gritty guitar riffs and soulful vocals, Gary Clark Jr. delivered an adrenaline-charged performance that reverberated throughout the walls of the sold-out Xcite Center, leaving the audience in amazement and reverence.
Gary took the stage and came out swinging. Slick guitar riffs, signature wide-brimmed hat, and a “cool as shit” attitude. He spoke to the audience just a few moments at a time during his 16-song setlist.

His screaming guitar combined with smooth, sultry R&B vocals gave the songs a raw, soulful edge that only he can pull off. A man of very few words between songs, GCJ lets his guitar and lyrics command the stage.
JPEG RAW takes Gary Clark Jr.’s sound in a new direction. He doesn’t stick just to blues or one type of guitar sound. Clark Jr. continues to demonstrate the fresh, new, diverse direction he can take his music. He compiles elements to create his own unique sound. He strikes a chord with real music aficionados. Gary Clark Jr. knows what his fans came to hear—and he gave it to them.
