October 24, 2025 – Every seat at the sold-out Parx Casino in Bensalem was full of anticipation as fans waited for ’90s alternative rock icons Everclear to take the stage. When they finally appeared, the crowd erupted into a thunderous cheer. The band is on tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their album Sparkle and Fade, and their first song, “Electra Made Me Blind,” set the tone for the night. It’s a great song, and the moving lyrics had fans singing every word.

When lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist Art Alexakis, Davey French on guitar, Freddy Herrera on bass, and Brian Nolan on drums hit the stage, the sold-out crowd jumped to their feet hands raised with cell phones, each jockeying for a better position as they cheered on their ’90s alt icon. From the first note, Alex and company had the fans in the palm of their hands. They played Sparkle and Fade in its entirety, and the energy never let up.

Alexakis’s voice was strong and steady, and Herrera and French were incredibly animated as Nolan kept the timing precise behind the drum kit. They all seemed to be having the time of their lives. The set was high energy from start to finish, and voices young, middle-aged, and above sang every word just as they did decades ago.

Everclear’s performance was a celebration of an incredible band that marked an unforgettable time in music history. As the final notes faded, it felt less like a throwback and more like a reminder of why these songs still matter. After 30 years, the connection between Everclear and their fans hasn’t faded at all.
