November 18, 2025 – Cut Copy stopped at Union Transfer in Philly on tour behind their new album Moments. The Aussie electro rock band, formed in 2001, still jams the dance floors more than 24 years later. They’ve built a unique sound, an electric indie dance band that turns any room into a party the second they walk onstage.

The packed house was ready. The 18-song set list had the crowd bouncing, arms stretched toward the heavens in a mass of perspiring worship. Frontman Dan Witford has an extraordinary voice and sharp, fast dance moves that hit the crowd hard. From behind his synth, he struts, leans, raises his arms, and drives the whole room forward. Hands in the air, bashing from side to side, he never lets the energy drop.Guitarist Tim Hoey brings a different edge, a punk-rock feel as he thrashes his guitar and pushes the sound wider.

Drummer Mitchell Scott kept the whole set locked in with tight, driving rhythms, pushing every song forward. Bassist Ben Browning filled out the low end, giving the dance-pop grooves more weight and keeping the floor moving. Midway through their performance they unleashed their new single “Solid” and the crowd loved it.

From there they ran through the big ones.
“Hearts on Fire,” arguably their most popular song, stirred the crowd into a frenzy.Another bestie of the night was the explosive “Let Me Show You Love.”
A huge moment came with “Out There on the Ice.” It builds into that ecstatic surge at the chorus, and when it hit, the whole place lit up. The whole room is singing, loud as hell. “Sun God” showed the heavier side of Cut Copy with that driving pulse running through it.

As the night pushed on, Cut Copy kept the energy high and didn’t let up. When they finally walked off, the crowd was still fired up and wanted more. They came back out and closed the night with an encore of “Need You Now” and “Lights and Music,” the perfect finish to a show that never dipped for a second.
