#10 West Chester University hosted Millersville University on Saturday, September 27th at John A. Farrell Stadium, in what would ultimately be a complete blowout victory for the home team.
WCU scored just 2:21 into the first quarter on a 13 yard TD run by Brandon Monk (capping a 6 play, 85 yard drive).
Just over 5 minutes later, Monk scored his second TD of the game, this time from 2 yards out (to finish off a 7 play, 83 yard drive). The Rams scored a third TD towards the end of the quarter on a 21 yard strike from Sean McCartney to Tim Brown (but missed the extra point) to go up 20-0 at the end of the first.
The second quarter was all WCU with McCartney connecting on TD passes to Mike Doty and Shannon Mayer (both scores coming in the final 1:40 of the quarter). At the half, the Rams held a 34-0 lead over the visiting Maurauders.
Millersville opened the scoring in the second half on a TD pass from Matt Misley to Kevin Wiggins. The extra point would be the last point the Maurauders would score that day. WCU was not finish however, scoring 4 second half TD’s to go with their 5 from the first half. The scores came on a 90 yard kick return from Jarel Elder, TD runs of 66 yards and 1 yard by Eddie Elliott, and a 49 yard run from Elder.
In the end, WCU demolished Millersville by a 62-7 final. With the win, the West Chester Rams improved to 4-0 on the season (3-0 PSAC). Millersville dropped to 0-4 (0-3 PSAC).
