November 16, 2024 – Philadelphia, PA — Owls vs Owls – A 39-yard walk-off field goal by Maddux Trujillo (91) gives the Temple Owls the 18-15 overtime victory over Florida Atlantic Owls.
It was a tight game going into the fourth quarter, with Temple down 7-6, before running back Terrez Worthy (25) scored on a 1-yard run. An ensuing 2-point conversation failed, but Trujillo hit a 47-yard field goal with less than two minutes to play in regulation to put Temple ahead 15-7.
But with only 34 seconds to play, Florida tied it up with a touchdown run by CJ Campbell (5) and a 2-point conversion catch by Omari Hayes (10.) That set the stage for the thrilling OT kick and Temple victory.
