September 14, 2024 – Villanova, PA — The Villanova Wildcats hung on Saturday to beat the Towson Tigers, after Towson misses 2 late game field goals.
It was a close contest as Towson had many opportunities to take the lead, but none more than 48 and 37-yard field goals. With less than 2 minutes left, Tiger’s Keegan Vaughan hit the upright during the 48-yard attempt. Vaughan later missed the 37-yard try with only 4 seconds to go.
Nova’s QB Connor Watkins threw for 116 yards, 4 to Jaylan Sanchez for 59 of those yards.
