October 14, 2023 – Villanova, PA — Playing football in the rain is always fun, unless you are on the losing end of a 21-to-0 game. Villanova delivered that message to Elon Phoenix at home to go 5-2 so far this season.
The scoring was limited to 3 rushing touchdown, but they were all scored by the same Nova running back, TD Ayo-Durojaiye. Other notable offensive leaders included QB Connor Watkins (13 rushes for 125 yards), RB Isaiah Ragland (15 rushes for 126 yards), Jalen Jackson (17 rushes for 83 yards.)
Contributing to the shutout, the Wildcat defense was stellar, holding the Phoenix to under 100 total offensive yards.
Villanova rests next weekend, and hosts Stony Brook back at home on October 28th.
