July 15, 2026 – Walking into the TLA was absolutely sold out, packed wall to wall with what felt like every college kid in Philly. By the time Congress hit the stage, the room was already a sweaty mess, and within a couple songs it turned into one giant singalong.

The energy never let up. Girls were screaming every lyric, people were climbing onto their friends’ shoulders to get a better view, and the floor bounced the entire night. It was one of those shows where you stop worrying about how hot it is because everyone is equally drenched and having the time of their lives. The show felt more like a sauna than a concert venue, but somehow that only made the atmosphere better.

Musically, Congress has this infectious, feel good sound that instantly reminded me of O.A.R. and Dispatch, with catchy hooks, big choruses, and the kind of songs that are made to be shouted back by a crowd. Tracks like “Bay Street,” “Colorado,” “Caught,” and “Out the Door” had the audience singing at the top of their lungs, and every song seemed to build more momentum than the last.

What stood out most wasn’t just how tight the band sounded, it was how much hype surrounded them. You could feel it in the room. Everyone seemed like they already knew they were watching a band that’s about to outgrow venues like the TLA. The crowd knew every word, the band fed off that energy, and the connection between them made the whole night feel bigger than a club show.

Leaving the venue soaked in sweat with my ears ringing and voice completely shot, it felt like we had just caught a band right before they explode. If this tour is any indication, Congress has an incredibly bright future ahead. A sold out TLA felt like just the beginning.
