The Temper Trap rolled into Philadelphia on Sunday night to thrill fans at the legendary Trocadero Theatre.
After covering their last show in Philly (at the Theatre of Living Arts on South Street in April) and seeing them at Coachella Festival, Independent Philly was anxious to catch the boys from down under again.
This time around The Temper Trap was joined by two opening acts, “The Hundred in the Hands” and “Delphic”.
We rather enjoyed the Alt-Dance sound of Delphic, who hail from the UK. We’d strongly suggest checking them out. http://delphic.cc/
The Temper Trap took the stage around 10 PM and wasted no time getting the crowd in the packed Trocadero moving.
Lead singer Dougy Mandagi’s signature voice rang out on hits like “Fader”, “Love Lost”, and “Sweet Disposition”.
For their encore, the band surprised fans with a new song and ended with the bonus track from their CD “Conditions”.
You may recall some of their hits from the soundtrack to the film “500 Days of Summer”. This was the perfect way to end a wonderful weekend here in Philadelphia.
