July 15, 2026 – Tame Impala brought its sold-out show to Philadelphia’s Xfinity Mobile Arena, with the performance centered around the band’s fifth studio album, Deadbeat. Led by Australian founder, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, the band performed songs from the new album alongside longtime fan favorites.

The members of Tame Impala walked onto the stage through thick clouds of dry ice and an intense display of lights as the sold-out crowd erupted. Parker calmly picked up his iconic Rickenbacker guitar as cheers echoed throughout the arena. Opening with “Apocalypse Dreams,” the band immediately pulled the audience into its mix of psychedelic melodies, synthesizers, and colorful visuals, setting the tone for the rest of the night. The show focused heavily on Tame Impala’s fifth studio album, Deadbeat. New songs including “Loser,” “Dracula,” “Afterthought,” “Ethereal Connection,” “Not My World,” and the encore “End of Summer” blended naturally with the band’s longtime favorites.
Everything about the production was first class. Thousands of colorful lasers, strobes, and massive visual projections went hand in hand with the music, only slowing briefly for dramatic effect. The visuals blended ’60s psychedelia with early-’90s rave culture, creating one of the most impressive light shows I’ve ever seen. The sound engineering was equally impressive and added another layer to the experience.
Parker’s vocals echoed throughout the arena as the Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist recreated the songs with remarkable accuracy. The new songs fit naturally alongside the band’s biggest hits as fans sang along to the synthesizer riffs just as loudly as they did the lyrics, especially during “Borderline,” “Elephant,” “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards,” and “Let It Happen.”
The biggest singalong of the night came during “The Less I Know the Better.” As soon as the opening notes began, thousands of fans sang every word, turning the sold-out arena into one massive chorus. After heavy foot stomping, rhythmic clapping, and thunderous cheers, Tame Impala returned for an encore featuring “My Old Ways,” another song from Deadbeat, followed by “The Less I Know the Better” before closing the night with the album’s hit single “End of Summer.”
His show takes a simple approach: give the audience what it wants, do it in style, and do it BIG! Judging by the reaction of the sold-out Philadelphia crowd, Kevin Parker and Tame Impala accomplished exactly that.
