Sweet Homecoming for Rocker Nick Perri

[ Story and Photos by Rick Pettine ]

July 8, 2021Philadelphia, PA — Philadelphia fans and the Ardmore Music Hall welcomed their native son Nick Perri (and the Underground Thieves) back to the local live music scene for the first of 4 weekly concerts in July. So if you missed them this week, along with another kick-ass local band Soraia, get your tickets now for the upcoming shows, and enjoy one hell of an entertaining evening!

So where has Nick been? Not slowing down much, even with the pandemic. He was touring and living in LA for the past few years, but just recently moved back to his hometown! (He really missed the cheesesteaks and Wawa!) His 2020 touring included several drive-in, live-stream, and warm-weather outdoor events, and even hooked up with Cheap Trick legend Rick Nielsen and his family band.

Nick’s last indoor live concert in the Philadelphia region was a 2-night opening gig in December 2019 with The Struts at the Fillmore (check out that post as well.) So you can imagine how excited he and his fans (this photographer included) were to kick off a series of intimate shows back home. Go check out this Philly rocker and heck of a nice guy!
