June 09, 2026 – Grammy Award-winning artist St. Vincent brought something truly special to a packed house at The Met Philadelphia on Thursday night, joining forces with the world-renowned Philly Pops for a unique performance unlike anything normally seen at the venue.

The historic 1908 theater provided the perfect backdrop for the evening, with Annie Clark’s distinctive vocals and guitar work elevated by the sweeping arrangements of the orchestra. The sound throughout the venue was absolute perfection. During the quieter moments, you could have heard a pin drop as the audience hung on every precisely played note.
Opening with “We Put a Pearl in the Ground,” “Hell Is Near,” and “Reckless,” Clark immediately established the tone for the evening. While much of the show showcased the dramatic interplay between her music and the orchestra, the performance kicked into another gear during “Black Rainbow” and “Marrow” as she strapped on her guitar and reminded everyone just how good a guitarist she really is. Backed by the power of the Philly Pops, both songs took on even greater intensity, with Clark’s blistering guitar work weaving through the orchestra’s sweeping arrangements.
Later in the evening, Clark left the stage during “New York” and made her way through the audience, creating one of the night’s most memorable moments as fans reached out to greet her. Other highlights included “Smoking Section,” “Digital Witness,” and “Los Ageless,” all of which were standout moments of the night.
The evening closed with “Candy Darling” and a stunning rendition of “Slow Disco.” Backed by the incredible musicianship of the Philly Pops, Annie Clark delivered a performance unlike anything normally seen at The Met. Judging by the reaction of the packed crowd, it is a show they won’t soon forget.
