August 13, 2026 – More than 70,000 fans packed Lincoln Financial Field for Queens of the Stone Age who are currently on tour with Foo Fighters. They opened with “Regular John,” followed by “The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret.” From the start, the band was tight and powerful, with thunderous drums, heavy guitars and booming bass ripping through the amps.

Josh Homme was impressive both vocally and on guitar. His riffs and distorted tones paired perfectly with his voice, which was melodic but had enough of a rebellious growl to give the songs just the right amount of bite. All five members were on fire, and they had the audience with them from the beginning. It was a strong start to their hour-long set.
QOTSA kept things moving with “My God Is the Sun,” followed by “Time & Place” and “Little Sister.” The growling guitars and surging drums on “My God Is the Sun” were met with loud cheers. Troy Van Leeuwen on guitar, Michael Shuman on bass and Dean Fertita on guitar and keyboards added to the band’s heavy sound, while drummer Jon Theodore was solid as a rock throughout the entire set. His drumming could be felt throughout the stadium.

The set continued with “Domesticated Animals” and “Make It Wit Chu,” followed by the new song “Easy Street.” Released July 14 on Matador Records, it was the band’s first new song since 2023. Four days after the Philadelphia show, QOTSA announced their forthcoming ninth album, Perfecth, with “Easy Street” as its lead single. The song was a change of pace from the band’s heavier material.
They followed with “Paper Machete” and “Go With the Flow.” “Go With the Flow” was one of the highlights of the set and drew one of the biggest reactions of the night. QOTSA saved some of their best for the end. “No One Knows” was met with a huge reaction before they closed with “A Song for the Dead.” Jon Theodore’s pounding drums and the band’s heavy guitars brought the hour-long set to a powerful finish.

I’ve seen a lot of great shows this year, and I can say without reservation that Queens of the Stone Age were among the best. They were tight and energetic from start to finish. I absolutely have to see them again.
