Mysteryland 2015 Preview

Last summer we hit Bethel Woods, NY, the site of the legendary Woodstock Festival in 1969, to cover the inaugural Mysteryland USA festivalMysteryland, the world’s longest running electronic music festival, returns to Bethel Woods again this year on Memorial Day weekend (May 22-24) for an action packed weekend of stellar music.

The line-up is a virtual who’s who of DJ culture and features heavy hitters from every genre of electronic music imaginable. Whether you want to rock out to “press play” big room sets, to live production, to the more refined sounds of the underground, Mysteryland will satiate your musical tastes.

Personally we couldn’t be more excited about some of the fantastic curated stages/areas including Drumcode, Q-Dance, Zeitgeist, Verboten, Webster Hall, and The Boat.

However, Mysteryland isn’t just about the music. The festival is a celebration of self-expression. Fans come decked out to the nines in some of the most creative outfits we’ve ever seen. one of the highlights this year will be Verboten bringing in its Culture series, which includes Deep House Yoga classes, trivia nights, burlesque shows, and art exhibitions from popular and upcoming artists.

Mysteryland’s 2015 Arts Program will be curated by Kevin Balktick, who will showcase the brightest imaginations in New York and beyond. Kevin Balktick is a Brooklyn-based creative director and event producer who has been organizing art and culture experiments for nearly ten years.

Possibly the best aspect of Mysteryland is that the festival is a 21 and over event (sorry kids, you’ll have to wait until you’re of legal drinking age to attend). Adults wishing to purchase tickets can do so right here.
