September 15, 2018 – It was a Big 10 vs AAC matchup on a beautiful September day in College Park, MD. After an emotional Terp’s pre-game gathering around the “79” painted in the end zone in support of teammate Jordan McNair who died of heat-stroke during a pre-season practice, the game kicked off. Maryland students and fans clearly dominated the bleacher seats, but Temple had quite the showing as well, being only a 2-hour drive down I-95. And it was well worth the trip for the Temple faithful as the Owls, after losing their first 2 games to Villanova and then Buffalo, rebounded with a dominating 35-14 win over previously unbeaten Maryland, 35-14. Temple completed 80-plays for 429 yards, while Maryland had 52-plays for 195 yards and completed only 1 of 12 3rd-down conversions. Tulsa is next up for Temple, back home at Lincoln Financial Field.
