Malcolm Todd Turns Do That Again into Two Sold-Out Nights at The Met

September 18, 2026 – At just 22 years old, Los Angeles native Malcolm Todd sold out back-to-back Friday and Saturday night shows at The Met in Philadelphia. The singer-songwriter and guitarist is currently touring in support of his new album, Do That Again. Fans, mostly decked out in bright red T-shirts, stretched three city blocks down Broad Street waiting to get inside.

When the house lights went out, the screaming started. Todd walked onto the stage with an electric guitar in hand and opened with “Jean Skirt,” the opening track from Do That Again. From the first notes, the crowd was singing along. Todd followed with “Breathe.” The playful song is about knowing a relationship could be trouble and going into it anyway. He then moved into “Malcolm in the Middle,” a more personal track about relationships and growing up around the entertainment business. Three songs into the night, all three had come from Do That Again.

Todd spent much of the night with an electric guitar in his hands. When he put it down, he grabbed the microphone and ran from side to side, jumping, dancing and getting as close to the crowd as he could. He repeatedly pointed his microphone toward the audience and let them sing the choruses. At times, thousands of voices nearly drowned him out.

Songs from Do That Again continued with “Difficult Love” and “Obsessica.” “Difficult Love” is about being drawn into a complicated relationship. “Obsessica” takes a more playful look at attraction and obsession. Later came “I Saw Your Face,” one of the more personal songs on the album, about realizing a relationship is falling apart and having to walk away.

Todd interacted with his band throughout the night, moving among them and playing alongside them. At times, it felt more like a high school garage band performing for their buddies. There was no pretense or over-the-top showmanship, just Todd and his band having fun playing music.“Chest Pain (I Love)” and “Earrings” came late in the set before Todd closed the main set with “I Saw Your Face.”

He returned for the encore with “Do That Again,” the title track from his new album. He closed the night with “Roommates,” one of the songs that helped introduce him to a much larger audience. You can listen to Malcolm Todd’s music at home, but it doesn’t compare to seeing him perform it live. This is one concert where the fear of missing out is real.
