Lynyrd Skynyrd Farewell Tour

August 30, 2019 – Camden, NJ — Legendary rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd on their Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour came to the BB&T Pavilion in Camden. Original 1970’s band member Gary Rossington, and Johnny Van Zant, brother of the late Ronnie Van Zant, played in front of nostalgic crowd sprawled on the warm summer lawn.

The 15 song setlist opened with Workin’ for MCA, I Ain’t the One, and Skynyrd Nation, and later included What’s Your Name, That Smell, I Know a Little, Gimme Back My Bullets, Saturday Night Special, Call Me the Breeze, and of course Sweet Home Alabama. But it was the encore that everyone was waiting for – and the only time you have the right to tell the band your watching “Play Freebird!”

And as a special Country treat, Hank Williams Jr opened for Skynyrd. In addition to his originals, Hank played covers from Neil Young, George Thorogood, ZZ-Top, and of course his dad. Sorry, but I can’t see Hank and not think about “Are you ready for some football?”
