October 26th, 2024 – British new wave and pop icons Duran Duran brought their long-awaited tour to The Borgata Casino in Atlantic City over the weekend. Spanning over four decades, the band became one of the world’s top acts with the advent of the MTV age.
With hits like “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “A View to a Kill,” “Rio,” “Girls on Film,” and “Notorious,” the band members—now in their 60s—still retain the dynamism they had in the ’80s. Le Bon’s voice never cracked or fell out of tune.
John Taylor’s funky bass lines sounded better than ever, Roger Taylor’s drumming was rhythmic perfection, and Nick Rhodes’s nimble fingers delivered their signature synth sound.

The audience erupted with thunderous cheers as the four original members—Simon Le Bon (vocals), Nick Rhodes (keyboards), Roger Taylor (drums), and John Taylor (bass)—stood at the top of the stage, silhouetted by bright white light.
Simon remained at the top of the stage as his bandmates took to their instruments, kicking off the performance with the moody “Night Boat” before immediately picking up the tempo with “The Wild Boys” and “Hungry Like the Wolf.” From then on, the energy was nonstop as the band powered through hits from their vast catalog.
There was no let-up from the packed house of devoted fans, who stood and cheered as the band hit the home stretch. “Planet Earth,” “Girls on Film,” and a cover of Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer” rounded out the main set. “Save a Prayer” opened the encore, and the night concluded with the band’s biggest hit, “Rio,” sending fans into a frenzy.
It was evident from the packed house that the Fabulous Foursome still have the musical talent to deliver an incredible set, keeping fans on their feet and dancing in the aisles from the first note to the last. The band killed it!
