September 29th, 2024 – The statement “Rock is dead” is heard all too often these days. While rock ‘n’ roll might not dominate the mainstream as it once did, to say great rock music is no longer being made is simply inaccurate.

From the moment they began playing, the band delivered an electrifying performance fueled by passion, energy, and pure musical skill. Bleachers
Bleachers, the indie-rock pop band from Bergenfield, NJ, commanded the stage for an adrenaline-charged performance. On tour to promote their latest album, BLEACHERS, the band showcased their dynamic energy and musical talent. Jack Antonoff, the band’s singer, songwriter, and charismatic frontman, has the energy and magnetism young Springsteen, captivating the crowd from the opening chords to the final bow. His performance was one of the most electrifying I’ve seen in quite some time.
But it wasn’t just Antonoff’s energy that made the concert exceptional—Bleachers’ music stood out, too. Their songs, with powerful lyrics addressing themes like mental health, personal grief, emotional struggles, and heartbreak, resonated deeply with the audience. The band’s upbeat, driving rhythms intensified the emotional impact, propelling each song with a relentless, infectious energy.
Norah Jones
A white baby grand piano stood center stage as the world-renowned singer, Norah Jones, gracefully approached. Her entrance was as humble as her demeanor, setting the tone for the rest of her setlist filled with timeless songs. As she settled in front of the keys, Norah’s signature voice instantly captivated the audience. There’s much to say about her voice—it’s sultry and smooth, but in an instant, she can leap into higher octaves that command cheers from the crowd
Teddy Swims
Teddy Swims, the soulful pop artist from Atlanta, gave fans their money’s worth as he moved across the stage with wild abandon, performing everything from up-tempo hits to impassioned ballads. He will be hitting Philly in 2025 to support his upcoming album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2), set for release on January 24th. It’s a show you definitely won’t want to miss.
Gregory Alan Isakov
Gregory Alan Isakov delivered an captivating performance, merging his signature blend of indie folk and Americana with poetic lyricism and gentle, acoustic melodies. His soft, quite voice created an intimate feeling among the audience.
Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors
Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors brought a lively, soulful energy to the stage, blending Americana, folk, and rock into a captivating performance.When Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors opened their set with “Find Your People” from the 2023 album, Strangers No More. They followed with the title track from 2019’s “Dragons” before inviting the crowd to participate in a call and response of “All the Money in the World”.
By the end of their set, the audience was left with a sense of attachment, drawn by the raw, authentic spirit of the show. If you haven’t discovered them – especially in person – you need to see Drew Holcomb live, they are just a fantastic live band.
War and Treaty
War and Treaty delivered a powerhouse performance, blending soul, Americana, and roots music into a captivating and emotionally charged set. Michael Trotter Jr.’s voice, with its rich, gritty depth, echoed the spirit of classic soul legends, while Tanya Trotter’s dynamic range and passionate delivery added an electrifying intensity. The harmonies of this husband and wife duo created raw and powerful chemistry with a setlist that moved seamlessly from heart-wrenching ballads to foot-stomping anthems.
Hurray for the Riff Raff
Hurray for the Riff Raff delivered an unforgettable set, blending folk, indie rock, with a punk edge that felt both timeless and relevant. Alynda Segarra’s voice, raw and haunting, conveyed stories of resilience and social justice with a sense of urgency that inspired the crowd. She sings with conviction for unity, harmony and solidarity amongst the oppressed.
Darrien Kiely
Starting off day 2 of the festival was Ireland’s Darren Kiely. The young and talented singer\songwriter gave a stirring showcase of indie folk pop creations that blended emotional storytelling with lyrical acoustic soundscapes. By the response by the crowd, I truly feel he is on the track to stardom.
