The Goo Goo Dolls & Collective Soul at Festival Pier

Philadelphia was handed another fantastic Summer concert on Friday, August 19th at Festival Pier when three incredible bands came together for a great night of music. We were graced with the presence of ‘Tribe Society’, ‘Collective Soul’, and ‘The Goo Goo Dolls’ on a beautiful evening for an outdoor show. As the crowd starting pouring their way into the venue, we could see the excitement in the eyes of every patron who came to see some of their favorite bands.

To open things up, Tribe Society took the stage and got the ball rolling with their fusion of calm alternative blended with heavy melodic rhythm. Their unique incorporation of a very talented flutist put their performance over the top, and had the crowd buzzing with energy throughout the evening.

The stage was prepared for the next set, and the crowd went into a frenzy as long-awaited Collective Soul took the stage. They had the full attention of the crowd throughout their entire set as they played classics such as ‘Shine’ which had the audience, from the front of the venue to the back, singing along. The energy and enthusiasm that went into this set was a true pleasure to watch and experience as the band went all out for this Philadelphia stop.

As the lights came on and The Goo Goo Dolls took the stage, the crowd teemed with excitement and everyone was on cloud nine as the headlining band had taken the stage. From the first track to the last, the audience danced and recited all of the words to the songs they knew so well. As the night progressed, The Goo Goo Dolls went back to some of their older tracks and made sure the crowd didn’t leave without experiencing their favorite songs performed live. Overall, this was a fantastic evening of music and entertainment
