Brillz at Soundgarden Hall
Brillz rolled into Soundgarden Hall on Saturday, November 28th and twonked the living hell out of the place!
With support from Party Favor, Ghastly, and Willy Joy, The ‘Twonk DiNation’ tour came strong into Philly and made a lasting impression on the hot, sweaty crowd. From the first bass line to the final twonky trap beat, the show was out of control from the start to finish.
Ghastly was in great form, as per usual. His deep and dark house vibe was just what was needed to get the crowd ready for the twonking that would ensue during Brillz headlining set.
Party Favor lived up to his name and delivered an audible party. As fans continued to mentally prepare for Brillz, Party Favor bridged the gap between dark, bassy house to booming, uptempo trap.
As was to be expected, Brillz was pure insanity. The anticipation for his set inside of Soundgarden Hall was palpable by the time he hit the stage. From the hardcore fans who had lined up on the railing from the beginning of the night, rocking their twonk team gear, to the crowd in the back looking for a little more breathing room and space to dance, the stage was both literally and proverbially set for Brillz to shine.
For the first hour of his set, Brillz laid his unique style on the crowd: from trap, to fast paced dark, bass laden house, to rap and hip hop. Then came the second half of his set where every opening act joined him in a B2B2B2B onslaught. Twonk team flags flew, stage hopping, and crowd hyping ran rampant. Everything a Brillz show promises, came to fruition.
All of the acts were clearly happy to bring their show to the City of Brotherly Love, and did not want to stop when the clock struck 2 AM. Each DJ took their turn and they all fed off each other until the very last minute. For those in attendance, it was not a night they will soon forget!
