Boston sets a season win record and hands Flyers another loss

March 25, 2023 – Philadelphia, PA — The struggling Flyers lose another game at home, 5-3, allowing the Bruins to set a new NHL record for the most regular season wins.

A mass of Boston fans made their way to Philly. The Wells Fargo Center had an abnormal atmosphere, with more yellow (and black) in the stands than ever before. And they were not disappointed, with chants of “we want the (Stanley) Cup!” echoing throughout.

On top of the win, Boston’s David Pastrnak scored a hat trick, with goals in the second and third periods. Flyers managed a total of 3 goals by Wade Allison, Joel Farabee, and Owen Tippett.

The Flyers wrap up the season with a home game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, then look to begin a rebuild for next year. Meanwhile, Boston will finish their season and enter the post-season playoffs as the favorite to win the Cup. But remember, it’s Boston, so anything can happen!
